KONG He
Associate Professor
He KONG received his bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. degrees from China University of Mining and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology (advised by Prof Guang-Ren Duan and Prof Bin Zhou), and the University of Newcastle (advised by Prof Graham Goodwin and Dr. Maria Seron), Australia, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor at SUSTech. He was a Research Fellow in Prof Salah Sukkarieh’s team at the Australian Centre for Field Robotics, the University of Sydney (USYD); during his research stay at USYD, he was a leading researcher and major participant for a number of R&D projects on field robotics with applications in precision agriculture, among others. His research interests include robotic intelligent perception and decision making, robot audition, optimal filtering and estimation, advanced control methods and applications. He has published over 40 academic papers in major robotics and control journals and conferences. He was a co-recipient of Finalist for Youth Author Prize at the IFAC 1st Workshop on Robot Control in 2019. He is on the youth editorial board of the journal of Smart Agriculture.
